SUMMARY:FaceDrive: Facial Expression Driven Operation to Control Virtual S
 upernumerary Robotic Arms
DESCRIPTION:XR Talks\n\nFaceDrive: Facial Expression Driven Operation to C
ontrol Virtual Supernumerary Robotic Arms\n\nFukuoka, Verhulst, Nakamura,
Takizawa, Masai...\n\nIn this exhibition, we demonstrate the mapping metho
d between facial expressions and wearable robot arm commands in virtual re
ality environment.\nBy acquiring reflection intensity information with a n
umber of optical sensors embedded in head-mounted display and training a m
achine learning system, our system is able to recognize intermediate facia
l expressions.\n\nRegistration Category: Platinum Pass, Full Conference Pa
ss, Full Conference One-Day Pass, Basic Conference Pass, Student One-Day P
