Mike Amron
Biography
Mike worked at the Emblematic Group on VR projects : Project Syria and Treyvon Martin.
Mike has worked as a technical director for ILM, DD, VIFX and Metrolight and Elektrashock. He created the SIGGRAPH 99 Electronic Schoolhouse Workshop: "Visual Effects through Adaptive Technologies".
He served as the chair for L.A. SIGGRAPH in the 2008-2009, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 terms and produced many L.A. SIGGRAPH programs, including "Digital Illustration", "Digital Production Design", "3D Printing and Scanning", "Kinect Scanning and Motion Capture", "State of the Art in Games" and others. Mike also organizes the Depth Camera Birds of a Feather Group at the annual SIGGRAPH Conference.
