Keiko Ono received her BS, MS, and PhD degrees in engineering from Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan, in 2001, 2003 and 2007, respectively. In April 2009, she joined Doshisha University as Assistant Professor of the Organization for Research Initiatives and Development. In April 2010, she joined Ryukoku University, Kyoto, Japan. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Informatics. Her research interests include parallel computing, evolutionary optimization and machine learning. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Japanese Society for the Information Processing (IPSJ), the Japanese Society for Evolutionary Computation(JPNSEC).
